Sibenik Croatia and Kotor Montenegro

Nov 25 - Cruise Day 3 - Sibenik Croatia
Particularly bumpy ride during the night - I didn't sleep much as i don't like quite so much rock and roll to my ride but soon found my sea legs.

We got a 300 metre taxi ride with the Russian mafia - cost one euro per 30metres - he saw us coming.
Also got mugged by one of the ATMs for some local currency. And again by a money changer at the end of the day to get our euros back, oh well.

I loved the buildings and the waterfront cafes and the cats although a little distressing as some badly needed a vet or nutrition or both. I had a Greek salad with about 2 dozen genuinely nice black olives - yummo - Ali managed the walk back to the boat rather than risking another taxi ride. I think the food on the boat is fantastic - too much so - i think i gained 3kgs in the first 3 days before trying to apply some sort of self discipline - but it's sort of one step forward and one step backward.

Nov 26 - Day 4 - Kotor Montenegro
This is a place straight from a post card - tucked away at the end of a glacial valley - it's amazing they can even get a cruise ship in here. The old city was so fascinating to this country bumpkin - old in New Zealand is 1962 - old in Kotor is 1162 - which is the date above the gates to the 'old town' - more cats - and a sore neck from too much looking up at the old buildings.
